  Timucua Mounds? A must-see for Native American history fans in FL: Most Indian mounds were destroyed. Valuable seashell remains were used as fill for the construction of the Atlantic railroad tracks.

  I take many friends here. It's a nice place to visit to learn history of the Seminole Rest as well as seeing the view of the water. The trees are beautiful and the amount of mounds of oyster shells are amazing to see.
